From Audition Stage to a Life Transformed – My OSBA Journey

I still remember the day I saw the audition call for Journey to Salvation 2024. I wasn’t sure if I should go, but something inside me said, “Just try.” I walked into the audition room nervous, heart pounding, and there he was — Sir Nigel Bobby — sitting on the judge’s panel.
When my name was called, I sang with all I had. I didn’t know if it was enough, but to my surprise, I was selected. At that moment, I thought my journey had begun — but in reality, it was just the first step into something much bigger.
A Call That Changed Everything
Soon after, I received a call that changed the direction of my life: I was being offered a full scholarship to join OSBA’s vocals program. I couldn’t believe it. But this wasn’t just about learning to sing — at OSBA, every music class comes with Bible teaching.
Alongside vocal training, I was taught the Word of God — the meaning of light, the power of worship, and the depth of Scripture. We didn’t just sing; we understood why we were singing.
A New Narrative
As I began researching the Bible and listening to sermons, my whole perspective started to shift. The way I spoke changed. The way I thought changed. My priorities changed.
I started looking for things that truly mattered — truth, light, and purpose. And I began to see how my art could be used for more than just performance; it could be a tool to glorify God and bring hope to others.
Why OSBA Feels Like Home
OSBA isn’t just a school; it’s a place where your gift is refined, your faith is deepened, and your life is transformed. The teachers believe in you even when you doubt yourself. They challenge you to not only grow in skill but also in spirit.
Being part of Journey to Salvation showed me that theater and music can speak directly to the heart — and now, I want to use my voice for exactly that.
My Message to Other Students
If you ever get the chance to audition, to train, to learn here — take it. You might walk in thinking you’re coming to learn art, but you’ll leave discovering who you are in Christ.
Because OSBA doesn’t just prepare you for the stage. It prepares you for life.
